Founded in 1856, Barretville General Store brings a view of the past with a taste of the now.

Don Willadsen took over the Barretville General Store in 2019 with a plan to keep the nostalgic ambiance that has been there for 150 years, but wanted to bring their extensive restaurant background to a community that was starving for amazing food.

Barretville General Store is a Family business. Jan Willadsen, Mary Briscoe, Taylor “Ninja” Sashenbacher, along with Don make up the day to day team that runs BGS.

To take it up another notch, Barretville General Store is blessed to have the finest desserts and pastries anywhere. The Traveling Bakers are second to none, and bring decades of experience to the Barretville General Store.
